DECOMP

Inspired by witnessing a bountiful summer gradually decline. This destruction fuels insects and animals feasting ahead of long cold months. Beautiful, thriving fungi break down any remnants, redistributing nutrients back into the earth. Fruits and vegetables return to the soil beneath the very roots from which they grew. Even elements manipulated by humans are inevitably reclaimed by nature: metal succumbs to rust, concrete is overtaken by vines, and wood is consumed. Embracing an "everything falls apart" perspective, I found inspiration in the overlooked beauty that emerges from inevitable loss.
